RBS NatWest bank are proposing to close the Station Road Branch on 7 March 2012 and we need your help to get them to change their mind.
NatWest has previously made a point about keeping branches open for customers, they are particularly helpful there at Station Road and we understand the branch is well used by the local community and it is also in a very useful position for businesses based outside Northwich Town Centre, such as Gadbrook Park, in comparison to the main Bull Ring Branch which is difficult to park near and can cause a long walk on busy days.
This issue of access is of great importance to those customers of the bank, who have mobility issues and the ability to park directly outside the bank is very important. To withdraw such a service, especially for older customers for whom internet banking would be difficult would be a retrograde step.
Our concerns will be echoed by many in the local community and from other local businesses and as such we are urging the Bank to to reconsider their decision, especially as it appears to contradict the slogan on their own website:
“At NatWest, we’ll make your everyday banking easier”: http://www.natwest.com/personal.ashx
