The combination of winter weather and traffic has caused deterioration in numerous local road surfaces, resulting not just in potholes but significant worn areas, we urge residents to use the “Report It” services to ensure the Council is fully aware so repair work can be attended to.
For reporting issues on council roads such as pot holes, street lighting, drains and grids use: Road Care
For issues such as graffiti, litter and fly tipping use: Street Care
We recommend residents use the website to report issues but the telephone numbers are Highways: 0300 123 7 036 and Streetscene: 0300 123 7 026
The A49 Acton swing bridge appears to have seen some settlement of its new surface, resulting in a temporary 30mph limit. We will update residents as soon as we have news on the likely date for its removal.
Thank you to all residents who responded to the recent Northwich Transport Strategy consultation; the outcome is being reviewed as the Council is planning that the Strategy will be completed and published in spring 2018.
Current consultations include a Health Improvement Strategy on issues such as eating & exercise, tobacco, alcohol and drugs (consultation closes 25 March) and the Control of Dogs Orders Review on issues such as proposing to ban dogs from childrens’ outdoor play areas and sports pitches, dog fouling and dog walking (consultation closes 28 April).
