Locally we want to continue the good work which Charles and Paul have been doing in the community, working with residents, Parish Councils and community groups.
Should the Conservatives take control of the Council in May our borough wide policies include:
Ending Labour’s ‘tax to the max’ council tax strategy – Your Conservative Cllrs voted against each increase for the past 8 years. In the past 4 years the Independent Councillor has voted twice with Labour and twice abstained.
Investing an extra £1.5million per year in our highways – Charles & Paul voted to put an extra £2million in this year (it was voted down by Labour). The independent Councillors abstained.
Introducing “Free After 3pm” parking across the borough, including for Northwich to help boost the high street. Labour ended free car parking in Northwich.
Scrapping Labour’s ‘green bin tax’. Our Councillors opposed the “Green Bin Tax” from the start, Labour tried to force it through without a proper meeting but Charles ensured a full Council meeting in person was held. The Conservatives voted against it, with support from others but Labour and Green Cllrs forced it through.
